Cast Members at Disneyland Resort Hotels to Receive $15 Minimum Wage With New Contract Agreement

Cast Members working in the hotels at the Disneyland Resort are about to get a pay raise. The 2,700 workers will get a 40% bump in salary over the next two years and will receive bonuses that were withheld during contract negotiations.

The new five-year contract agrees to pay the applicable cast members a minimum of $15 an hour starting in January, up from $13.25. Housekeepers will receive an immediate raise to $15.80 an hour, up from the current $11 an hour.

The contract, which becomes effective today, was approved by 96% of members from Unite Here Local 11.

This announcement comes soon after Disney Aspire, an initiative offering the 80,000 hourly cast members a wide array of disciplines and diplomas—with tuition paid upfront.
