REVIEW: Halloween Time Crab and Corn Chowder at Disneyland’s Cafe Orleans

Cafe Orleans in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square offers a seasonal soup on the menu for Halloween Time 2018. The soup is a Crab and Corn Chowder:

The thick chowder is made with a fish stock base and is loaded with roasted corn. Several large pieces of crabmeat adorn the top and more crabmeat is mixed into the chowder. The soup has a characteristic New Orleans spice kick to it.  It is not at all overpowering though, but rather complements the crab flavor quite well. The creamy chowder base also pairs well with the spice to make this approachable even to those who may be spice-averse.

We’d highly recommend this excellent soup as a starter before your Monte Cristo, or even as a meal with a basket of the pommes frites.
