With today’s rollout of an entirely new “date-based” ticket pricing system, Walt Disney World has also raised the prices of various other offerings.
The price of a solid color MagicBand is now $15.97 including tax, up from $12.99 plus tax. All other prices are up $2 as well, with open edition bands now at $24.99, and limited release bands at $29.99. Currently available limited edition MagicBands are unaffected by the increase, but future releases may be higher.
Parking rates are up as well at the theme parks today:
- Automobile: $25.00 (Up from $22)
- Oversized: $30.00 (Up from $27)
- Preferred: $50.00 (Up from $45)
Various annual pass prices were raised. Below you’ll see the regular price followed by the Florida Resident price is applicable (you can see previous pricing set earlier this year here):
- Platinum Plus: $994/$849
- Platinum: $894/$749
- Gold: $609
- Silver (FL Resident Only): $479
- Select (FL Resident Only): $439
- Weekday Select: $319
- Epcot After 4: $289
- Premier Passport: $1579 (No Change)
$20 says Disney raises ticket and AP pricing again in the Spring. Gotta pay for Galaxy’s Edge and the $15 minimum wage.
With the recent increases in food and beverage prices and these new increases, I’d say Disney is already well on its way to recouping these costs.
So you’re betting that Disney will do exactly what they’ve been doing for awhile now? They almost always raise prices more than once a year.
They will price there way out of the market!
No kidding, I think renewal is now more expensive than my original AP I bought around this time last year!
I’m retired and will have to consider going back to work just to afford my Disney habit. Certainly getting to be the land of the Rich$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Your better off getting a job at WDW and work as little as possible to get free admission.
Hey Cast Members, You’re Welcome for your $15/hr wage hike.
If only the customer experience at the parks was improving at the rate of price hikes instead of nearly having to wear a hard hat to enter each park
Yeah, that’s right!
If those greedy cast members worked for FREE then “maybe” prices would go down…!
The 15.00 wage isnt in effect until 2021.
Exactly, how much are annual passes and regular daily tickets going to cost 3 years from now at this rate?!
Just to clarify they don’t make $15 an hour yet. It won’t happen until at least three years from now. The prices would have increased regardless of the wage increase because people continue to pay whatever they tell you to pay!
No price is too much to be there. It is a privilege!
Can’t quite tell if that’s sarcasm or you are on your second pitcher of Kool-aid…
I wonder how much Club 33 will increase. If I win the lottery, I was hoping to be invited to join.
I see wdw is trying to recoup some money back after that purchase of Fox.
Not renewing next time !!!😖
I think we’ve created a Monster from a “ Mouse “ ✨🤑
Who is going to pay my mortgage and everything else that I own like everybody else we have to work to make a living. Just because they work at the Disney Company doesn’t mean that they get a lot of money the rain that they had they deserve it there a lot of people they have to work double jobs to make a living here in Florida
It doesn’t make sense to gouge Florida residents. Our pay isn’t increasing, so we won’t be able to afford to go. Seems like they are going to lose money. If residents prices were lower with free parking, we go a few times a year instead of once every few years.
Disney not to big to fail.
It makes more sense to fill the parks with tourists than with locals, they don’t want people going there and hanging out
Good job Disney, had to give up my tickets a couple of years ago, can’t even afford to take the family for a day, with lunch, parking, something for the kids and paying for six people it’s close to a $1,000 for the day. They don’t want Americans only the foreign money.
Don’t want Americans? They want anyone & everyone who’s willing & able to pay, period. Money is money, makes no difference who’s providing it.
Walt would be and probably has been rolling in his grave for quite some time. This was a place built on his dream to provide fantasy for everyone. Not just the super rich. Shame on you WDW.
Disney lost its magic
I think we’ve created a “Monster” out of a “Mouse” !!!🤑
