The interesting new Disney Skyliner Gondola system is now looking for it’s first job: Senior Transportation Engineer. The position was posted on the Disney careers website on October 11, but it wasn’t largely advertised.
The Skyliner Gondola is going to connect Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Caribbean Beach, Riviera, Pop Century, and Art of Animation Resorts.
The website describes the position as being in charge of 40 to 50 mechanics, technicians, and leaders, making sure the system stays safe and reliable, making sure all parties work well together, as well as maintaining a leadership role technically and directionally.
Some of the minimum skills include at least 10-years of maintenance on aerial lifts system for gondola cabins and ski-lifts and at least 5-years of management experience for maintenance of aerial lifts systems for gondola cabins and ski-lifts.

Though there is no official start date posted, it seems that the Skyliner will open by the summer of 2019.
