PHOTO REPORT: Disneyland Resort 10/27/18 (Galaxy’s Edge, Pixar Pier, Ballast Point Construction, Tiki Room & Space Mountain Changes, Christmas, ETC.)
This photo report brings us back to the Disneyland Resort. Here we have updates on the construction to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, Pixar Pier, and Ballast Point. As well, The Enchanted Tiki Room and Space Mountain have undergone some changes. Plus, Disneyland Park is slowly being decorated for the Winter Holidays. Let’s take a look!
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Construction Progress
Galaxy’s Edge’s construction continues to move along ahead of its opening in Summer 2019. The best view of the development of this Land can currently be found atop the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
Enchanted Tiki Room Update
Guests are enjoying the newly refurbished waiting area of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Earlier this month, a wheelchair access ramp was added to the left of the entrance. The Gods of the Garden also received a bit of a face lift and placement change.
Meanwhile, the tarps next to the exit still remain in place as the wheelchair elevator is removed.
Space Mountain Entrance Update
A new partition now stands upstairs at the former FastPass/standby merge of Space Mountain. This serves to separate the FastPass line from the Standby line a while longer, with FastPass going down a hallway to the left now. Guests now merge into one line inside.
Also this week, It’s A Small World closed for its holiday refurbishment. It will reopen on November 9th as “it’s a small world” Holiday.
Pixar Pier Construction Updates: Jessie’s Critter Carousel, Inside Out Attraction, and World of Color
World of Color is still closed for refurbishment, with an opening date slated for late 2018. Unfortunately, Season of Light is not being advertised for this year.
Jessie’s Critter Carousel is set to open in Early 2019 and progress is underway. Fun new walls are put in place, which are appropriately themed with various critters. If you take a look around as you walk the Pier, you can catch a slight glimpse of the construction behind the walls.
Ballast Point Construction Update
Lastly, we have a photo update on the Ballast Point brewery coming to Downtown Disney. No opening date has been set yet, but it doesn’t look likely to open in time for the rumored October 2018 opening. As you can see, progress is being made to the upper deck, but the first floor of the brewery looks like it might need more work done.
That’s all we have for this week! Be sure to check out previous updates to these areas below:
