Hepatitis A Case Found At Morimoto Asia In Disney Springs

According to WFTV Channel 9, a local Orlando news station, a food service worker at Morimoto Asia has been identified has having a Hepatitis A infection. The case has been reported to the Florida Department of Health. The Department of Health believes anyone who dined at this location from November 6th to November 16th could have been exposed to the infection.

If you dined at this location during that timeframe, officials are urging you to seek medical attention if you experience: abdominal discomfort, dark urine, fever, diarrhea, or jaundice. However, if you have had Hepatitis A or received two doses of the Hepatitis A vaccine, you do not need another vaccine.

If you need the Hepatitis A vaccine, you can visit either of the two locations below for a free vaccine (by appointment):

6101 Lake Ellenor Drive, Orlando, Florida 32809 (ages 19 and older only)
Telephone Number: 407-723-5054

832 W. Central Blvd, Orlando, Florida 32805
Telephone Number: 407-858-1444

The Department of Health also suggested calling their epidemiology department at 407-858-1420 for further information.

  1. This needs to be put as a Breaking News headline. Of course I’m finding out during a holiday just a day after seeing my doctor! I’ve already contacted a doctor on call and plan on calling the office to get myself, husband and father in for vaccinations. Luckily our little one has already been vaccinated but I’m calling her doctor tomorrow just to check(after already speaking to doctor on call). Of course I’ll be working so it won’t be easy coordinating the vaccination in the next 24 hours but the clock is ticking.
