November 18th is the 90th birthday of our favorite mouse, and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World is bringing it to guests with special merchandise and food. For example, World of Disney has every kind of Mickey item you can imagine. They even have a new Mickey Mouse Club collection for Mouseketeers of all ages, which you can see in full here.
UNIQLO, Levi’s, Lacoste, Sunglass Icon, Curl, and Melissa’s Shoes are also offering exclusive merchandise.
Beginning November 17, the LEGO Store will begin constructing a Mickey-inspired mural to celebrate this milestone. Visit the location for more details and to see the LEGO builders in action.
Perhaps the most exciting new offerings (for me anyway) is all the food! Amorette’s Patisserie is offering guests a “Started With A Mouse” cake. The new cake is shaped like Mickey’s famous sorcerer’s hat. The cute cake is a Boston Creme/white chiffon cake, with blue fondant and dark chocolate ears.
In addition, The Ganachery has special Mickey Ganache Lollipops, decorated with his iconic red shorts and yellow shoes. They also have Mickey Milk Chocolate Ganache Squares.
Meanwhile, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop also has a special sundae to celebrate the mouse!
Will these treats just be one day or will they continue for a while? I was hoping they would still be around when I come down Dec. 13-18.
Sounds like some will be just for the day
Will they have anything(merchandise, not food) that says Mickey 90th? Knock wood, we’ll be there that weekend and my sister and her family really want us to bring home merchandise that is specific to the bday celebration.
Not that I know of. I haven’t seen any advertised. Most of it is just new items featuring Mickey.
I don’t believe they have any merchandise that specifically says that. Most of the new offerings just have a cute little Mickey on them!
do you think the “started with a mouse” cake will be big enough to share?
It doesn’t look huge.
If you’re not a huge sweets person, then yes! I’ve shared their “petite” cakes with someone else before and it was enough for us. If you really love cake, you might want to tackle this one on your own!
