Amorette’s Seasonal Offerings
Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs is ready for the holiday season. So many beautifully decorated cakes, cookies, and pastries fill the display cases, that it can be difficult to choose just one. A few new sweet treats caught our eye, and we just had to indulge.
Gingerbread
Walking in the door, we were greeted by a sweet little gingerbread house display. It’s an edible Amorette’s! While taking a bite of this gingerbread house is frowned upon, you can always pick up one of the new character-themed cookies to satisfy your craving. Mickey and Goofy Ear Hat Ornament Cookies are available for $5.50 each. We’re told more characters will be added soon.
The gingerbread is unbelievably good. There is a very light chocolate layer on the back of the cookie, and a thin coating of icing on the front for decoration. We will be watching for new characters to be added to the tree. We can’t wait to try them all!
Macarons
Seasonal macarons are just too cute to pass up. White chocolate eggnog ganache and dark chocolate “ears” make up the Santa Mickey Macaron. Fondant details help add to the ornament look. The eggnog cream tastes light and goes well with the dark chocolate ears.
The Snowman Macaron has a rich chocolate ganache and marshmallow cream center. Fluffy marshmallow balances out the milk chocolate and creates a delicious, adorable treat. Even though the fondant scarf is cute, it really overpowers and distracts from the wonderful taste of the macaron. Removing it may be the best choice to fully enjoy this marshmallow and chocolate Snowman Macaron.
Don’t Miss These Treats
With so many festive treats around the Walt Disney World Resort this season, your snack list might be getting a little long. Be sure to put Amorette’s on the “nice” list and get over there to try one (or all) of these holiday offerings before they’re gone!
