D-Luxe Burger Serving Breakfast This Holiday Season
D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs rolled out their new, limited time breakfast menu this morning, so we decided to take a break from the Black Friday crowds to give it a try.
The Menu
The menu is pretty simple, but offers much more than just your typical “breakfast platter” type of meal. Breakfast sandwiches, chicken biscuits, and even a Greek yogurt parfait are some of the standard breakfast items on the menu. Since burgers aren’t commonly found around the Resort for breakfast, we decided to go for the Classic Breakfast Burger and the El Diablo Breakfast Burger with a side of french fries and sausage gravy.
Burgers For Breakfast
The D-Luxe Classic Breakfast Burger was good, but nothing too exciting. Even though the eggs are better than most quick service fried eggs, this is still basically a standard bacon cheeseburger topped with an egg and shredded hash browns. We would probably enjoy this more as an afternoon lunch option.
At first glance, you’ll notice the El Diablo Breakfast Burger is served on a cheddar biscuit instead of the classic roll. The fresh biscuit really helps bring all the flavors together. It’s truly delicious, and so far from the dry biscuit that we were expecting to encounter. The chorizo patty is topped with pepper jack cheese, a fried egg, and a heavenly bacon-pepper jam. There’s a good chance we’ll be asking for extra bacon-pepper jam next time! The flavors of the El Diablo Breakfast Burger really compliment each other and make for a delicious and satisfying breakfast burger. This is definitely a hearty and flavorful meal to help fuel your holiday shopping.
Surprisingly, one of the burgers is topped by shredded hash browns, but that’s not a side option on the menu. We ordered the French Fries with Sausage Gravy and we were not disappointed. The sausage gravy flavor is bold, but not overpowering. Even though the fries are served covered in the sausage gravy, there is also a small cup served on the side. Burgers and fries always go well together, even for breakfast.
Not Your Typical Breakfast
