A story broke last week that a guest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge had a woman walk up to her, and hand her a newborn baby. She then approached a Disney cast member to notify her that an unknown woman walked up to her while she was standing inside, and handed her the baby. Jeff Williamson, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, said that authorities had located the woman and interviewed her. She was transported to a nearby facility to receive evaluation and treatment.
In a surprising plot twist, the woman who said she was handed the newborn baby, was actually the child’s mother. The Police have also not said if there was any surveillance footage of the woman at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the incident is still under investigation.
Officials say the woman walked into the Animal Kingdom Lodge Lobby around 2 a.m. Sunday. Reedy Creek Fire Rescue took the baby to nearby Celebration Hospital, the baby was in good health. The Florida Department of Children and Families were notified.
