Let’s take a walk through the Disneyland Resort (Spoiler Alert: There are a lot of construction walls!) Holiday crowds have subsided and the locals are back in full force. At least we have Rock the Dots and Mickey’s 90th Anniversary; Get Your Ears On Celebration to enjoy. Also coming January 25 will be Disney California Adventure Lunar New Year Festival 2019… a.k.a. new food!
Disney California Adventure
The bear with no name who no longer has an adorable holiday sweater sits proudly over his new construction zone.
At least the Grizzly River Run construction wall fits the theme.
Disneyland Park
On a positive note, the Tiki Room got some fresh banners.
Tiki Room was empty because it seems everyone wanted to try the new Dole Whips at The Tropical Hideaway.
Guests seemed more curious than upset with the castle walls.
For the time being, you can still get a decent castle shot from the back in Fantasyland:
Still plenty of Rock the Dots merchandise available at Disney Clothiers on Main Street.
Also at Disney Clothiers for $39.99:
We now have this wall right outside the Emporium to make this walkway even more crowded.
Also a small wall around this light post outside City Hall.
Tom Sawyer Island was popular today.
Redd was charming guests.
The Haunted Mansion is back to normal as they continue to revert the inside back to its pre-Holiday state.
Speaking of the Haunted Mansion, let’s check out all the new merchandise now available at Port Royal.
Door Knob Hanger – $6.99
Spotted Mary Poppins!
And for $108.00, you can buy this dress from the dress shop in New Orleans Square.
Galaxy’s Edge
The scaffolding is slowly coming down to reveal an impressive skyline.
This will be one of the three pathways into Galaxy’s Edge from Critter Country.
For now, we just get a door and some posters.
Downtown Disney
This Loungefly Groot wallet just dropped for $45.00 at World of Disney.
Mickey balloons because they’re fun and we’re celebrating 90 years!
Ballast Point looks ready for its grand opening on January 16. Good thing we got a sneak preview of the brewery!
Here are a few of my new favorites from the WonderGround Gallery. They feature local artists doing their own spin on Disney. I definitely left with the Dancing Mary Poppins Penguins.
This little guy is called “Fuzzball”.
Of course, Stitch having a blast with a butterfly on his nose.
There is also a selection of Celebration of the Mouse merchandise.
WDWNTip: These barbacoa nachos from Tortilla Jo’s were excellent.
I hope you enjoyed our walk around the Disneyland Resort. We may have a lot of construction, but there are still plenty of new things coming!
Thank you! I loved this! A virtual walk-through of the park is just what I needed on my break in my office on a Monday morning, far away from DL.
No mention of construction in security area… reduced bag check lines when we arrived last Tuesday.
I feel like Stitch probably ate that butterfly two seconds later.
Any chance Redd is gonna be a meet and greet down in Florida, too?
