It was a chilly morning at Hollywood Studios, but a few brave Annual Passholders came out to enjoy the V.I.Passholder event. This time, passholders were given exclusive early morning access to purchase the latest Minnie Mouse donut ear headband. And a matching cookie!

The event lasted from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests with a valid annual pass and photo ID were allowed to come in and shop early. Stores on both sides of the street were open and ready for the crowds. However, it seems like the crowds preferred to sleep in on this chilly morning. Maybe they just can’t handle the Florida cold.

It was pretty quiet. Cast Members were wearing ears and showing off the new D-Lish merchandise. There were plenty of ears and cookies stacked at every register. I don’t think they received the crowds they expected to have. The Potion Purple event was much busier, but also had more to offer than this one. Arriving at 7:00 AM and getting your ears and cookie leaves you with the choice of waiting two hours for the rest of the park to open, or going back to bed. At least there were no lines to pay!

The Minnie Mouse donut ear cookie is massive. It’s $10.99, which is pretty expensive for a cookie, but you will definitely be able to share. We’re told this cookie will be available to all guests after the event at the Trolley Car Café. We could smell the shortbread as soon as we took it out of the box. The ears are dipped in pink and covered in sprinkles. Minnie’s face is white chocolate and there’s a cute fondant bow for decoration. These cookies and ears are ready for the ‘gram.

Unfortunately, that might’ve been the best part. The cookies are a little dry, so once you get beyond the dipped ears, you’ll wish you had an overpriced beverage to wash it down with. There’s a thin layer of raspberry jam in between the two thick cookies, but it’s just not enough to help. The filling has a nice flavor, though. It seems like an attempt to recreate something similar to the Pop’t Art from Epcot’s Festival of the Arts. It’s not awful, but it’s definitely not worth $10.99. We wish they would have just given us donuts.

Pink frosted donuts with sprinkles make up the ears and the bow is a sparkly teal color. The ears retail for $27.99 and are now available throughout the parks.

They’re the sweetest ears around, for now. We know there are even more new ears coming soon, and we can’t wait! Will you be getting these donut ears?
