Reservations for Disney’s Riviera Resort Open This Month

Disney’s Riviera Resort may not be opening until this Fall, but guests looking to be the first to experience Walt Disney World’s newest resort hotel won’t have long to wait to make their plans.

Disney has announced that reservations for the resort will open to the general public sometime this month. Although this is a Disney Vacation Club resort, non-DVC members are able to make cash reservations because the resort hasn’t yet sold all of its membership interests. These are the reservations that will be available soon. For Disney Vacation Club members who wish to book with points, the wait will be slightly longer. Exact timing will be announced once the official opening date is confirmed. The reason for this has to do with the legal intricacies of timeshares in Florida. However, if you are a DVC member, don’t worry about being shut out after the public onsale: members will have access to an exclusive dedicated block of inventory not available to the public.

“When it opens its doors, Disney’s Riviera Resort will offer all the grandeur of Europe combined with the magic of Disney. The new Resort will be conveniently located in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort, and feature unique access to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, via the new Disney Skyliner,” according to Disney’s publicity materials.
