The weather in Southern California has been on the chilly side this winter, so if you’re looking for comfort food to eat while visiting Disneyland, we have some perfect choices for you. In honor of the new Get Your Ears On Celebration, Harbour Galley has a new Lobster Pot Pie Soup and Vegan Hot Diggity Dog that guests are sure to go crazy for.
Lobster Pot Pie Soup – $14.99
As someone who isn’t into seafood, I loved this new soup at Harbour Galley. This soup is made up of lobster, red potatoes, carrots, celery, and herbs in a rich seafood cream sauce served in a bread bowl. The lobster itself didn’t taste very fishy and I loved it, but I wish there were a little more of it in the soup for the price point. But the soup was very creamy, buttery, and smooth. I could not get enough of this soup! The herbs gave it almost a sweet taste along with the cream, which worked very well.
Although this Lobster Pot Pie Soup was more soup than pot pie, it was incredible and worth purchasing again.
Vegan Hot Diggity Dog – $9.29
The Disneyland Resort is known for having very limited vegan options for guests, so this comes as a nice surprise. It’s a vegan hot dog topped with spicy lentil chili, onions and mustard served with seasonal fruit.
I found the “chili” to be a tad too mushy, but it has a nice spicy flavor to it. The mustard was a great addition and really made this vegan hot dog taste like a real hot dog. Not many people would be able to spot the difference, so this is a good choice for anyone, vegan or not.
