Jaleo, the highly anticipated restaurant by chef Jose Andres, has been expected for a while. After a long run of delays, WDWNT has learned that the restaurant will finally open in Disney Springs sometime next month. The exact date has yet to be determined.
Jaleo was previously announced to open in Winter 2019 after originally expected to open last year, but it seems like the long wait is finally over.
The restaurant boasts an artichoke-inspired design and Spanish-inspired food. If you can’t wait to see what’s being offered at the restaurant, you can check out the menu here!
As we learned previously, the freestanding two-story building, designed by Spanish design firm Capella Garcia Arquitectura, is inspired by the artichoke, a vegetable native to Spain. The “petals” form pergolas that will open up to the outdoors. A unique feature of the building is that it has no solid walls, opening it up to the outside with massive windows that will show off an impressive view of the lake nearby. A central courtyard will visually connect the floors, while a citrus-inspired color palette will help show off paintings and photographs from Spanish artists and photographers.
