Welcome! This week, we took a trip to Epcot to take a look at what’s new around the park. We found new merchandise, some great Lunar New Year decorations up around the China Pavilion, and some continued construction on the new nighttime show being worked on around the World Showcase Lagoon!
World Showcase Lagoon Construction
There’s a full sized crane in the middle of the lagoon.
Closer to the Japan Pavilion, a digger sits on one of the islands, digging holes to allow these metal poles to be put into place.
Festival of the Arts 2019
As Epcot’s Festival of the Arts continues on, some of the chalk and paint art changes weekly. This week’s 3-D chalk art was themed to The Incredibles! Unfortunately, the Central Florida rain has since washed the portrait away.
The paint-by-numbers mural is now themed to Figment.
Wyland was doing a demonstration while we were at Epcot. He’s known for his beautiful undersea pieces, but it’s his incorporation of Disney characters into his art that makes him a perfect attendee for the festival!
Lunar New Year at the China Pavilion
All around the China Pavilion, these cute pigs have popped up in shop windows to celebrate Lunar New Year 2019, the year of the pig!
