During a stroll through the Magic Kingdom earlier this morning, we uncovered some new sweet treats at Big Top Souvenirs: Mickey Donut Shortbread Cookies! It’s very much like Disney to theme food items after other food items (that may or may not be themed after merchandise.) At first, we thought these would be the same cookies as the ones given out during the Minnie Mouse Donut Ear Annual Passholder event, but these turned out to be truly delicious shortbread cookies.

There are two kinds, one with pink (vanilla) frosting and another with chocolate. Both include crunchy sprinkles. The frosting resembles the top of a donut, with the middle and ears each taking the shape of a large donut with smaller donut “ears”.

Overall, we wished there was more frosting on these. However, these were incredibly fresh (the Cast Member said we were the first ones to purchase the cookies this morning), but the parts without frosting were a little dry, as shortbread tends to be.

The cookies cost $5.49 each and can be redeemed as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
