Just last week, it was revealed that Mizner’s Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa would be closing for refurbishment come April 4th.
Commander Porter’s, the menswear store adjacent to the lounge, would be closed for a lounge expansion. According to multiple sources, it appears the space will be re-themed to the live action 2017 version of Beauty and the Beast:
#DisneyDrinking #BreakingNews Mizner's and surrounding area to be re-themed to (the live-action remake) of Beauty & the Beast. Will stretch from current locale thru the men's store down hall to the elevator.

Additional details about the space include the transformation of Mizner’s Lounge into a library lounge space.
Quick addendum: "The Library" will have plush couches and a fireplace where current bar sits (hopefully not so big as to block the band). "The Ballroom" will have a chandelier somehow. "The Woods" will have indoor/outdoor seating. Around 140 seats total.

Commander Porter’s will be turned into the main bar space (themed to a ballroom), and a hallway and outdoor seating area themed to the woodsy environment shown in the film. (Hopefully no werewolves, though.)
(Yes. This means the lounge associated with the only 5-star restaurant in Florida will be decorated with images of Hermione Granger.)

Fear not, the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra will be staying to serenade guests, although we wonder whether their set list will change given the change in theme.
The newly expanded, re-imagined Mizner’s Lounge is expected to reopen in Fall of 2019.
