Last night, Disney gave us a sneak peek at the inside of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, with a look at Lightning McQueen gracing the main stage. Now, even more details regarding ride length and show interactions have been released.
As you all probably know by now, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy rolls into Disney’s Hollywood Studios this Sunday, March 31.
This all-new show experience invites guests to step into the world of Pixar Animation Studios’ “Cars” films as guests become rookie racers and learn the rules of the road from Piston Cup Champion Lightning McQueen himself!
When you enter the theater, Mack and Sally Carrera welcome all the rookie racers and test your knowledge of Lightning McQueen as you take your seat and get ready for the show.
We now know that the show will last 10 minutes as guests watch Lightning McQueen appear live on stage to share his racing knowledge – as well as the trials and tribulations he’s faced. Mater, Cruz Ramirez, and other friends from Radiator Springs also make an appearance in the show.
Guests can indulge in more “Cars” fun in the courtyard outside Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, including meeting Piston Cup champion Cruz Ramirez and jamming to an incredible music mix from DJ, the ultimate party on wheels. Lightning McQueen’s Pit Crew will also arrive on the scene several times a day for “DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time!” which invites guests to gather around DJ for “Cars”-inspired dancing and games.
