The Heart of Te Fiti cone

REVIEW: Make Way For The Heart of Te Fiti Lime Dole Whip Cone at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Well, Disney has done it again. A new character-themed cone has arrived at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. In addition to the classic Dole Whip flavor, Pineapple Lanai is now serving Lime Dole Whip in the Heart of Te Fiti Cone.

Moana fans will definitely appreciate the love. If you’re visiting the Polynesian, you can now find the Heart of Te Fiti Cone for $5.29 at Pineapple Lanai. This is the second themed Dole Whip cone inspired by a character from the movie Moana. We tried the Hei Hei Cone last month, so of course we’re ready to try the Heart of Te Fiti.

The lime Dole Whip is served on a green cone and topped by an edible flower. There’s not much else to it. Honestly, it’s a little disappointing there isn’t an actual white chocolate Heart of Te Fiti. But it’s still pretty, and the decorative flower is edible.

This is basically the Tinker Bell Cone, just not as exciting. It is beautiful, and will give you some lovely photos among the lush scenery of the Polynesian Resort. The lime flavor really reminds me of Sprite and it’s surprisingly refreshing. I’m not usually a fan of lime flavor, but I really love the lime Dole Whip. The flower is edible, but it really has no taste, and you might just get an odd look or two while you eat it. The cone doesn’t seem to have any unique flavor, either. It’s just a regular cone. While we wish there was a little more going on here, we’d definitely still order it again.

I don’t know how far I’d go for this cone, but it is a refreshing change from the traditional pineapple offering. And it’s nice to see more Moana things around the resort. Will you be giving this new Heart of Te Fiti Cone a try?
