Happy Mardi Gras! If you’ll be celebrating Fat Tuesday at Disneyland Resort, then you might want to indulge in some themed treats to celebrate the occasion. French Market in New Orleans Square has a Mardi Gras Coconut Cake on the menu today and we couldn’t recommend this dessert more.

Mardi Gras Coconut Cake – $7.49

Mardi Gras Coconut Cake French Market Disneyland Park

This cake costs $7.49 and is made of three layers of royal-colored sponge cake and pastry cream dusted with coconut flakes. Not only does it look delicious, but it tastes incredible. The sponge cake is really moist and the coconut cream is soft and light. Even guests who aren’t fans of coconut will find this cake to be really enjoyable. We’re only bummed that this is a limited-time item on the menu at French Market.

If you’d like to try more Mardi Gras-themed treats in Disneyland Park today, here are a few more items available:

  • Cafe Orleans: Potato Leek Soup, Monte Christi Sandwich with a Mardi Gras twist, and Lemon Cake Roll-yal.
  • Blue Bayou: Catch of the Day – Meagre and the Royal Street Bundt Cake

If you want to try another slice of cake that is similar and just as tasty, we also recommend the Celebration Cake at Plaza Inn.
