Once again, Food & Wine Festival has returned to Disney California Adventure Park with lots of new items to indulge on. From new menu offerings to new merchandise, we’ve been loving the variety of the Festival this year. One of the best surprises is seeing specialty items pop up at outdoor vending carts throughout Disney California Adventure. When we saw Gourmet Coffee had this new Pacific Sunrise cocktail, we couldn’t resist giving it a try.
Pacific Sunrise – $12.75
This drink is made of Grand Marnier, orange juice, and pineapple juice. It’s more of a slush than anything, primarily made of what seems to be juices and ice, which didn’t mix together very well. We drank all of the juice and alcohol within five minutes and were left with a full cup of slush. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do much with it at that point. This was a bummer as we really enjoyed the taste of this drink and wish it had lasted longer. We suppose you could grab a spoon and eat the rest of the flavored slush, but that sort of defeats the purpose of it being a drink.
With some adjustments, we would love to purchase this drink again. The flavors were light and refreshing, and it tasted like the perfect drink for a warm day at Disney California Adventure.
There is also a Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon Whisky available for $13.25 at Gourmet Coffee. It was a little too warm for us to sip on a hot beverage, so we’re saving it for another day.
If you’re in the mood for another refreshing cocktail offering from the Food & Wine Festival, be sure to check out the Kombucha Mojito Cocktail at Avocado Time Marketplace.
