After nine years, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the Toy Story gang are heading back to theaters this summer in Toy Story 4, and Tokyo Disney Resort is getting in on the fun with an 80-day celebration!
“Funtime with Toy Story 4” will involve a new activity, photo opportunities, and specialty food and merchandise, all themed to characters old and new that come together in the new film.
“Find Forky!”
Forky, Bonnie’s newest toy, has fled to Tokyo Disneyland in an attempt to escape. Guests can look for Forky around the park with the help of a special map, find messages from the toys, and receive a special sticker for their efforts.
Merchandise
Around 50 exclusive merchandise items will be available for the event, including a tote bag, towels, and of course, toys.
Photo Opportunities and Decorations
Both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will have plenty of chances to take that perfect photo. Near Tokyo Disneyland, Frontier Woodcraft will feature a sign with beautiful woodcraft-inspired designs of beloved Toy Story characters.
And at Tokyo DisneySea’s Toyville Trolley Park, a special mural shows off some of the newer characters with some classics, including Ducky, Bunny, and Forky, alongside Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the triumphantly returning Bo Peep.
But if you’re looking for something extra special, Tokyo Disneyland’s Westernland Photo Studio will allow you to take a picture with some of the stars of the film, available for the run of the event.
Food & Beverage
Hungry? Don’t worry, there’s plenty of food and drink to go around at this roundup. Here’s a look at some of the items being offered around Tokyo Disney Resort, from the parks to the hotels.
A special smoothie inspired by the colors of Andy’s room (for a blast from the past) comes with a specialty coaster. There are three different styles available in each park, so be sure to collect them all!
The Disney Ambassador Hotel will offer a special cake at its Hyperion Lounge themed to Woody and Forky, while the Tokyo Disneyland Resort’s Dreamers Lounge will be selling a Bo Peep-themed cake.
Disney Resort Line
Even the Disney Resort Line is getting in on the fun, offering special transit cards for the event.
“Funtime with Toy Story 4” runs June 14th to September 1st. Toy Story 4 opens in Japan on July 12th, and in the United States on June 21st.
