We’ve seen a lot of overcast days in Florida lately, but I am taking advantage of the cloud cover for the cooler weather, and hit Magic Kingdom for a morning park walk.
Several cherry pickers have made their way into the drained moat. Fingers crossed the water doesn’t start creeping back in like it periodically has been while these are in there, I can’t imagine that would be good for them.
In Tomorrowland, I checked in on the progress of the new, colorful paint job the land appears to be getting.
The outdoor seating area of Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe got a fresh coat of yellow paint on the ceiling.
I stopped by Storybook Circus to get a peek of the ongoing construction on the Tron construction. Still a lot of dirt, but there’s also been a steady amount of activity on this construction site every time I’ve checked in on it lately, so I’m eager to continue to keep an eye on the progress.
In Fantasyland, the scrim around Castle Couture is still standing strong.
The Sword in the Stone has come and gone a bit over the recent months, but today it was back and on full display.
Checking in on the latest progress of the pathway widening project by Cinderella Castle, there has been some additional, temporary railing installed, made of 2×4’s and painted Go Away Green. Assuming that the railing was freshly installed and the paint was still wet, and additional couple of feet was roped off, making the pathway even more narrow than it was previously. But I suppose in this case, things have to get worse before they get better (or should it be, the path has to get thinner before it gets wider?)
Walking into Frontierland, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the first showing of the Country Bear Jamboree had a bit of a queue waiting for it.
In the courtyard area in front of Big Thunder Mountain, it looks like most of the pavement is getting replaced, with a few bits already having been poured fresh, and a decent amount of scoring along all of the old pavement, which usually means that its getting replaced soon as well.
Thats it for my day around Magic Kingdom! The temperatures are really starting to warm up here in Florida, so I’m really going to relish these park days lately where I don’t leave dripping in sweat. Keep checking back with WDWNT for more photo reports!
Enjoyed your photos and observations! Thanks! Nice to see some love for the Bears!
