With a little over a month left until Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens, work continues throughout the Disneyland Resort to have it looking better than ever by the big day. Today we’re bringing you updates from Disney California Adventure, including new merchandise and new refurbishments.
Disney California Adventure Updates
With Disney Eggstravaganza 2019 in full swing, guests on Buena Vista Street can celebrate by posing for a photo op with the Citizens of Buena Vista Street. Three different character-themed egg props are available for photos.
With Spring Break season winding down, we’re starting to see way lighter crowds at Disney California Adventure. This is especially obvious as we make our way past the Food & Wine Festival Marketplaces.
There aren’t many changes to report on the construction of Marvel Land, but we did spot a new crane at work as we walked past the former A Bug’s Land.
Over at Pacific Wharf, Rita’s Baja Blenders is currently closed as it undergoes refurbishment. Guests can purchase margaritas over at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill for the time being.
As we head for Pixar Pier, we notice the crowds are much lighter than they have been in the last two weeks.
Fans of Inside Out will love these new items we found at Knick’s Knacks. There’s a new Rainbow Unicorn Plush and Baseball Cap, both available for $27.99.
Considering that Jessie’s Critter Carousel just opened at the beginning of the month, Pixar Pier appears to be very mellow today.
And if you’re looking for yet another mellow and less populated spot in the Park, look no further than the Grizzly Peak Trail. This trail starts where the former smoking section used to be and runs through to the entrance of Grizzly River Run. This trail is a great place if you need to escape the crowds or rest your feet for a moment.
On a hot summer’s day, you can cool off by standing near this waterfall lookout on the Grizzly Peak Trail.
And Grizzly River Run has finally opened after a long refurbishment, just in time for the warming Southern California weather. The queue was especially long today.
Those are all the updates we have at Disney California Adventure. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter if you want to keep up with all the happenings at the Disneyland Resort.
