This week’s photo report around the ever-changing Epcot brings us updates from the upcoming Space Restaurant, Japan restaurant, new ground work around the American Adventure pavilion, and some new merchandise. Let’s start!
Space Restaurant
Much of the Space Restaurant is now cinderblock. Our last update showed us this wall almost completely covered in scaffolding. However, now all that remains is one small section still with scaffolding.
Here you can see an indent in the wall that will likely be an entrance way. Some contractors were working on this area of the restaurant.
An overall look at the size of the building shows the massive wall that was erected in just a few months’ time.
Japan Restaurant
The upcoming Japan restaurant is also still mostly the same. General construction, with a wall in the center.
A better look at the wall.
New Brick Work
In the American Adventure, some new red brick has been laid in what seems like random areas of the pavilion. I love the new look and hope they begin filling in more areas soon!
Some more sidewalk work closer to the show building.
Pizza al Taglio
Pizza Al Taglio has re-opened after being closed for a few months. The registers and set up of the quick service resembles that of a festival booth, and there was a massive queue line set up outside.
Just to the right of the quick service, there is now stroller parking for Via Napoli.
The Land Pavilion
Work on Awesome Planet continues as this curtain has now gone up, restricting views inside the theater. Don’t worry, though, the wall carpet appears to still be intact… for now.
The current specialty dessert at Sunshine Seasons is this adorable Easter-themed cheesecake.
Merchandise
Don’t forget! You can now get the second Flower & Garden Festival magnet inside Mouse Gear. This one features Daisy.
If you’re still looking for Flower & Garden Festival pins, you might be out of luck. The only two that remain are the Mickey logo pin, and the Figment Annual Passholder Exclusive pin.
Wishables have made their way to Epcot. They debuted at Disney Springs earlier this week and are most likely replacing Tsum Tsums. They can be found at Mouse Gear.
Inside Mitsukoshi in the Japan Pavilion, this adorable Hello Kitty Easter display is located just as you walk in. The display features Hello Kitty plush in various Easter outfits, as well as an amazing Hello Kitty Easter basket.
That about wraps it up for this week’s Epcot update. How cute are those Hello Kitty plush?
