Welcome back! During today’s trip around Hollywood Studios, we noticed a couple construction updates we wanted to share, as well as an amazing new shirt! Let’s take a look.
Progress at the new security entrance is moving quickly, more cinder block is being revealed and the structure is beginning to take form.
There’s still a lot of scaffolding around the structure, but at this point, everything is starting to look cleaner.
There’s also a lot of fencing that has come down around the area. It’s about 50/50 between fences and planters right now. The planters being closer to the park entrance and the fences being closer toward the parking lot.
Over by the Sorcerer Mickey topiary, there’s a large area fenced off in front of it. The cement has been ripped up and work is ongoing in the site.
The Sofia the First meet and greet is officially closed to make way for the Fancy Nancy meet and greet debuting next month.
There are now planters up around the meet and greet, but no signs of any changes within the area yet.
The Keystone Clothiers refurbishment is well underway, the latest change we spotted was this wall that completely blocks off one of the entrances to the shop.
At Beverly Sunset Boutique, the back wall that once had assorted Toy Story merchandise has been replaced with a wall of Pixar art and other WonderGround Gallery products.
At Mickey’s of Hollywood, the entrance display that once featured Disney Snack merchandise has since been replaced with a Toy Story merchandise display.
Finally, at Once Upon a Time, this incredible new Jessica’s Diner shirt is on display. The shirt retails for $24.99, but it is included in the “$22 each when you buy two” promotion.
That’s a wrap on this week’s Hollywood Studios photo report! Is replacing Sophia the First with Fancy Nancy the right move for the meet and greet location or should she have replaced another character such as Pluto? Sound off in the comments!
I’m going to need that shirt if it ever hits the shop app!
Fancy Nancy should have replaced a different Disney character, my 6 year old loves Sophia and fancy Nancy.
