In our last construction update of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Resort, we shared a first look at pictures of construction equipment being prepared for demolition on the old site of Disney’s River Country. Since that update, much progress has been made as River Country has been completely demolished and removed from the area.

The two excavators that were stationed here originally are now hard at work demolishing all your childhood memories and dreams, moving dirt ahead of the start of construction for Reflections.

Both excavators were very active, as well as this smaller digger that was assisting also.

This small amount of shrubbery is all that’s left of the demolition work.

On the opposite side, a large pile of dirt sits waiting to fill the former pool area. You can see the very edge of the pool through the greenery.

Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Resort is set to open in 2022. Demolition is expected to wrap up any day as construction on the resort finally begins.
