Everybody knows I love the Contempo Café at the Contemporary Resort. The cupcakes are always top quality. They taste amazing and look perfect. This new Easter cupcake is no exception, and topped by an Easter bunny macaron!
This Easter cupcake is available for $5.99 and is a fun holiday twist on the new macaron cupcake. This carrot cake cupcake is topped by a bunny shaped macaron, complete with nose and whiskers. White chocolate buttercream is decorated by a rim of white chocolate shavings and Jelly Belly jelly beans.
The bunny macaron is a little deceptive. I couldn’t wait to find out the filling, but got a surprise when I removed the bunny and find it’s only half a macaron. It’s good, but I couldn’t quite decide on the flavor. I asked the Cast Members if they knew, and one said grape. The other read me a list of ingredients, which gave me no idea of the flavor. I guess it could be grape, but I didn’t notice any stand-out flavor.
Inside the cupcake, you’ll find the sweetest, most amazing cream cheese filling. It’s thick and rich, and gives a lot of extra flavor to the cupcake. I don’t really like carrot cake, but this cake was delicious. Leave it to the Contempo Café to make a carrot cake cupcake I can’t stop eating. It has more of a cinnamon and spice flavor, and with the cream cheese filling and white chocolate frosting, it’s perfect.
This cream cheese filling is so good, I have to say it twice. It’s that good.
If you’re a fan of carrot cake, forget everything else and go right for this cupcake from the Contempo Café. It’s only available through April 21st, so hurry over to the Contemporary. You won’t be disappointed.
