REVIEW: Easter Cupcake at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort

A new Easter egg specialty cupcake has made its way to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts just in time for the Easter weekend.

This is a vanilla confetti flavored cupcake with lemon filling, and topped with vanilla buttercream icing and fondant egg decorations.

I really appreciated the added detail of the confetti cake on this cupcake. It was more an aesthetic choice than adding to any taste, but with this cake having a less extravagant decoration on top, it was a nice added detail. Taste wise, this was a pretty plain cupcake. The best part about it was the lemon filling, which was more generous here than the other Easter Cupcake across the pond at the Boardwalk Resort, but that wasn’t enough to turn this into a must-get for me. I bit into one of the eggs on top hoping for it to be some kind of chocolate or candy, and was unpleasantly surprised to find it to be pure, flavorless, thick fondant, and immediately regretted my decision. If you do end up getting this cupcake, I highly suggest leaving the eggs alone.

This cupcake can be found at The Market at Ale & Compass at the Yacht Club, and Beach Club Marketplace at the Beach Club. It’s priced at $5.99 and is available though April 22nd.
