REVIEW: Easter Peeps Donut at Roaring Fork in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Not everyone needs an overly elaborate Easter snack. If you’re looking for a smaller sweet treat this weekend, we’ve found the perfect spring donut for you.

The Peeps donut is available from Roaring Fork at Wilderness Lodge. It’s a vanilla-iced donut, sprinkled with green toasted coconut. Nestled in the green “grass” is a yellow Peep chick.

I visited pretty late in the afternoon, but this donut was still incredibly fresh. Sometimes donuts can be stale and dry, but this was perfect. The icing was sweet, like a thick glaze.

It’s also decorated with tons of glitter, sprinkles, a drizzle of more icing, jelly beans, and of course, a marshmallow Peep. This donut is $2.19, so it’s definitely on the more affordable side of Easter snacks around the resort. But, as usual, it’s covered in coconut shavings. So if you’re a fan of coconut season, this is another dessert to add to your list.

I love seeing themed snacks besides cupcakes. And anything with glitter and Peeps is a must for me. This donut is simple, sweet, and adorable. If you’re not able to make it to Roaring Fork, Sprinkles at Disney Springs has a Peeps Cupcake. Or just spend the day eating snacks and have them both!
