PHOTOS, REVIEW: The Easter Treat Stand Arrives at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Earlier in the week, we brought you coverage of the 2019 Easter Egg Display at the Grand Floridian. Today, we returned to the beloved resort to try out the new Easter treat stand! The stand is located just as you enter the main lobby, off to the right. They operate daily from 10 A.M. – 6 P.M. for all your Easter treat needs.

The desk is lined with each of the offerings, and presented nicely in baskets and collaged together, a perfect idea for a Disney vacation Easter basket!

Photo Apr 05 11 39 18 PMI just had to pick up a couple items to try out for myself. I ended up choosing the Carrot Blondie, The Grand Egg, and a Hot Cross Bun!

Carrot Blondie – $5.00

The Carrot Blondie was an interesting item that I’d never tried before. It was similar to a brownie, and while I was skeptical about the portion at first, it was more than enough for one person.

While not exactly a candy-inspired sweet treat, this offering was filling and cute. The blondie was covered in vanilla icing, much like a cake pop.

The Grand Egg Filled With Jellybeans – $9.00

This offering was too good to pass up on. It was beautifully presented in cellophane with a gold Grand Floridian sticker and blue ribbon, and dusted with orange specks. I was also pretty intimidated by the jelly bean filling.

The chocolate is dark chocolate, which is an interesting pairing with jelly beans. Be warned: It breaks easily! The shell is held together from top to bottom, which means you basically have to break apart the whole egg to get to the jelly beans inside.

Once you crack it open, there are tons of jelly beans inside. This is a super cute treat that kids will surely love!

Hot Cross Bun – $3.00

This was the only warm offering at the stand, and the winner in my book. If you ask nicely, the bakers will let you try a sample before purchasing, but I just dove right in.

Prior to this, I had never had a Hot Cross Bun before (I was just familiar with the nursery rhyme). Think of a cinnamon roll with raisins. The bread was warm and sweet, yet you could get some notes of spice, and the glaze on top added some texture.

While each bun is fairly small, for $3.00, this is a fantastic quick treat to celebrate the Easter holiday.

I really love the idea of this special holiday offering giving guests the chance to pick up some Easter treats to enjoy while they explore the lobby and enjoy the 2019 Easter Egg Display. What will you be picking up next time you head to the Grand Floridian?
