Disney has just announced that the standalone Shop Disney Parks app will be retired on May 31, 2019 as the company transitions to shopDisney as the one-stop, online retail destination for Disney merchandise, including merchandise from Disney Parks.
By downloading the shopDisney app or visiting shopDisney.com, you will discover an even larger selection of favorite items and beloved keepsakes from Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and more.
The site also offers options for adding personal touches to your trip down Main Street, U.S.A. including the newly introduced Disney Parks customizable T-shirts and gear.
At Walt Disney World Resort, My Disney Experience will continue offering popular shopping features guests have come to love such as the product availability map or the ability to ship select merchandise to home (U.S. addresses only) when you order through the My Disney Experience.
Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will also continue to receive eligible discounts when shopping from My Disney Experience.
If you are looking for merchandise from Disney Parks on shopDisney simply push the “Shop” button at the bottom of the shopDisney app and look for the “Disney Parks” category, or look for the “Parks” tab on the main page of shopDisney.com.
I’m OK with this AS LONG AS they set it up so that DVC and AP discounts will be automatically applied like they are on the Shop Disney Parks APP and they have the option of paying with PayPal.
It would be NICE if Disney would allow us to use the AP discounts on the shopDisney app and not through the My Disney Experience
Does this mean we’ll be able to use our dvc and ap discounts from Shopdisney now? Currently we can’t- only from the Parks app
Bummer!! This was the only way you can use your AP discount to purchase Disney products aside from the parks! Sad to see it go!
Will we still be able to find merchandise in the park through the app Like before?
I would love to know also if AP discounts will be allowed on ShopDisney. They really should allow that.
Sooo do we lose our ap and dvc discounts now ??
