Last Saturday, Disney finally shared the first look at the completed refurbishment to the beloved Disneyland Park icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle. And now we’re sharing even more photos of the completed Castle with you. Sleeping Beauty Castle will be reopening this Friday, May 24. We’re sure you’re just as anxious as we are for the official reopening, so we hope these photos can hold you over for a couple of days.

The castle is still sporting its iconic blue and pink color scheme. The pink tones are a bit brighter and the blues a bit deeper, and the shimmering pixie dust layer is a brand new addition.

The path leading through the Castle on the left side is currently closed, but we managed to get a side view from Fantasy Faire. Here we can see that the color scheme of the bridge matches the cool blue tones of the tile on the bottom portion of the Castle.

And finally, the scrim and scaffolding have disappeared from the backside of the Castle. She’s just as beautiful from the back as she is from the front. Here we see more of the fresh pink tones, which really pop against the clear blue sky.

We can’t forget the details! The coat of arms symbols have received a refreshing look, as well. Our favorite detail is the clock chandelier hanging under the archway.

The scrim and scaffolding have also been removed from the Castle Holiday Shoppe and the part of the Castle that connects to it.

The Castle Walkthrough has been closed since January and we’re excited to see if any changes have been made to this interior part of the Castle. We spotted Cast Members touching up the paint around the Walkthrough entrance and the tunnel leading to the front of the Castle.

The path leading through the Castle past Snow White’s Wishing Well is open, so guests get a stunning view of the details on the new roof from this spot.

And guests who have been wanting their picture taken in front of the Castle are now treated to this perfect spot along the walkway. It’s a completely uninterrupted view, with no walls or railings to block the sight of the stunning Sleeping Beauty Castle.

It’s been a long four months since Sleeping Beauty Castle closed for refurbishment, but the wait is almost over. And judging by what we’re seeing today, the long wait was worth it. We think Walt would be proud of this enchanting and magical makeover.
