Greetings, Programs! We’ve got big news from the ground at the site of the upcoming TRON coaster in the Magic Kingdom. A piece of ride track has finally arrived on the scene and is set for staging. While it has yet to be placed or installed onto the steel support columns surrounding it, this is a huge milestone for the burgeoning attraction.
The steel ride track support columns went vertical earlier this month. Because of the nature of the project, the coaster track is being installed before the actual attraction building.
We’ll have to wait and see where this particular track section ends up. As you can see by the multitude of support columns, there’s still plenty of track still on its way to the site.
The TRON attraction is set to open at Magic Kingdom park in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021. Of course, if you can’t wait, you can watch our video of its sister attraction, TRON Lightcycle Power Run, from Shanghai Disneyland here:
