Happy Mother’s Day! This week we found the perfect treat to celebrate Mom’s special day. The Peach Cobbler Cupcake was spotted at Artist’s Palette inside Disney’s Saratoga Springs. We’ve noticed quite a few new cupcakes showing up at Artist’s Palette recently, including the Orange Bird Cupcake and the Aladdin Cupcake. We decided to give this one a try too!

Peach Cobbler Cupcake – $5.99

The Peach Cobbler Cupcake has a cute, decorative sunhat on top. The hat is made of a white chocolate base, with icing as the bowl of the hat. It also features a solid sugar flower for decoration, and it’s all held together by a whipped, whoopie pie-like icing/frosting underneath.

For added presentation, the hat is dusted with edible sprinkles.

Mom always said it’s inside that counts, right? Well, inside the cupcake, the cake base contains cinnamon-spiced peaches baked into what was a fresh, sweet, and buttery cake.

The peaches were somewhat chewy, which added a strange texture to the cupcake. There also wasn’t a lot of peach flavor present in the cake at all, which just left it tasting like just slight spice cake with icing, and an occasional chewy peach every now and then.

Overall, I don’t know that the flavors worked well together. I was impressed with the freshness of the cake itself, and the added spice of the cinnamon was a nice touch. Other than that, my only gripe is that the portion of peaches was small and chewy, and some more creativity with incorporating some kind of flavor into the decorative hat would’ve been appreciated. One thing is for sure, the cupcake is very picture-worthy and a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day.
