Hooray for Hollywood! Disney’s Hollywood Studios, that is. Welcome to another WDWNT photo report, let’s take a walk and check in on my personal favorite park.
Enjoying this logo while it lasts. Who would’ve thought that there would be a time that I grew nostalgic for this logo, but when they released the new concept art for the new logo on Hollywood Studio’s 30th anniversary, let’s just say I don’t think it’s going to be an improvement.
Over in Toy Story Land, Slinky Dog Dash was having a delayed opening, but that’s okay, because I was only heading into that shadeless desert to check in on Galaxy’s Edge construction, anyway.
You can get some peeks of it over the fence down by the entrance of Alien Swirling Saucers. We’re a little over two months away from the grand opening ofGalaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios, and after seeing all of the coverage and content from Disneyland’s opening last month, I am so anxious to get into that land myself. I’m already hydrating myself in preparation for all of the tears I’m going to cry.
You can catch another glimpse of it in the Grand Avenue area of the park. This photo was taken right outside the seating area of Baseline Taphouse.
There’s still some scaffolding up on the back of the Muppets theater, working to make it blend it a little better. And I think someone might have forgotten their flashlight back here in the corner from some overnight work.
There’s some additional scrim and scaffolding that’s gone up across from Star Tours in the area that used to be home to the Star Wars speeder bike photo op.
And some construction walls are still up next to the Oasis Canteen next to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
And here are the walls and scaffolding around Mickey’s of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard. Lots of construction projects happening at this park right now. SHE’S GOING THROUGH A TRANSITION, OKAY?! Not to mention the work being done right outside the gates on the old security location.
The main Skyliner sign is still under wraps, but in case you missed it, check out one of the smaller signs that got unwrapped last week here!
That’s it for my walk around Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She’s definitely going through a midlife crisis right now and trying to find her identity a little bit, but its still my favorite park in Walt Disney World and I am LOVING IT through this transition period into a better version of itself. Keep checking WDWNT for more updates!
I disagree about the new logo. Really nice updated look. Needed a revamp.
No, I kinda wish they’d leave the logo alone. Although, I’m not exactly offended by the new one, I just like the old one better.
The new logo looks like a cut and paste job with no identity. No other WDW park has this type of amateur logo.
