VIDEO: Kylo Ren and the First Order Interactive Show at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Leading up to the opening of the land, character interactions was one of the aspects of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge we actually knew very little of. We knew roaming droids had been put on the back burner, but what of character meets? Would the land actually have characters roaming or just citizens of Batuu interacting with guests?

The opening of the land brought answers to most of those questions, and surprisingly enough, character interaction in the land happens organically (whenever possible), just as everything else in the land does. Walkaround characters transition in and out of show montages, and despite these things still needing some tweaking, the crowd of travelers always seems to enjoy them greatly.

One of the best shows we saw was the Kylo Ren and the First Order show, which depicts the never-ending hunt for Resistance spies. It starts out with Stormtroopers marching through the streets of Black Spire Outpost and convening with a First Order officer (Spoiler Alert: He ends up getting Force choked.) Eventually, Kylo Ren descends from his TIE Echelon fighter and makes his way onto the streets of the outpost to take matters into his own hands. After all, if you want something done right, you’d better do it yourself.

Til the spires!

I like when they march past two teenage girls, who don’t even look up from their phones.

Heard there were no original trilogy or prequel characters rolling around, just these clowns.
