Permit Filed for The Odyssey as Pavilion Transforms Into Future Epcot “Experience Center”

Some of the first permits have been filed for the Odyssey’s transformation into the “Experience Center”. As we shared earlier in the year, the Experience Center will be home to the famous Rainbow Tunnel and other elements to preview the transformation of Epcot.

The permit filed with Orange County describes the work being done as “Install graphics at Odyssey building”. This work, coupled with the contractor Design Communications LTD, indicates some of the more permanent features of the Experience Center are soon to be installed. Design Communications LTD is known for permanent design fixtures in a variety of high trafficked areas from Royal Caribbean’s Coco Cay to Boston Logan International Airport.

Walt Disney Imagineering is the grantor of the permit, who are usually only included when the work being done affects theming in a given area.

Stay tuned to WDWNT as more details emerge about this project.

  1. Yeah, I’m not really sure you can call this a pavilion(yet). It started out as a restaurant and ended up being a multipurpose space. It was never a pavilion.
