Located on the old Streets of America of famed Studio Backlot Tour lore, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will soon be opening for Cast Member previews and eventually, its grand opening to all guests on August 29, 2019. Up until now, large photo walls at its main Grand Avenue entrance have kept curious masses out from Batuu:
But in the spirit of building mysticism and hype, Hollywood Studios has now knocked down these walls and replaced them with new construction walls, offering guests a glimpse into Black Spire Outpost:
Even the walls themselves are themed, with weathered yellow-brown streaking running across.
Over in Disneyland, these carved rock entrances are what transition you from one storyline to the next, and they do a pretty good job of doing it by way of unique light fixtures, and a special music score that gets piped in, with the rock walls acting as an acoustic amplifier.

Till the spire! Only a few more rising moons till we can explore Batuu at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
