REVIEW: New Signature Mac ‘n’ Cheese Added to the Menu at Smokejumpers Grill in Disney California Adventure

Smokejumpers Grill in Disney California Adventure is having some fun this summer and we’re all about it. First, they added a new Coca-Cola Freeze to their menu. So if you’re in the mood for a Jack Daniels and Coke slushie, they’ve got you covered. And now Smokejumpers Grill has added a new entree, the Signature Mac ‘n’ Cheese.

Signature Mac ‘n’ Cheese – $12.49

This green chile mac ‘n’ cheese is topped with pork belly and should have been topped with crumbled corn bread, green onions, and chipotle crema. Unfortunately, because this dish is brand-new, we were informed that not all of the servers at Smokejumpers Grill know how to make this dish. And our server forgot the rest of the toppings.

That being said, we still really liked this new item. The portion of mac ‘n’ cheese looks small, but it’s very filling and served really hot. You can definitely taste the green chile, but it’s more mild than spicy. The pork belly was just okay. Some pieces were a little tough and fatty, but they do taste really good with the creamy cheese sauce.

And you get a choice of waffle fries or onion rings when you order this meal. We have a feeling the onion rings would be a really good side for this.

We’re sad that we didn’t get to try this Signature Mac ‘n’ Cheese at Smokejumpers Grill as it was meant to be served. However, we can only imagine that they make this dish even better, so we highly recommend giving it a try. Maybe save this item for a cold or rainy day!
