Welcome to WDWNT’s coverage of D23 Expo 2019! We are on the show floor and here to show you all of the details, concept art, and more that’s on display.
Today, we’re taking a closer look at the Halcyon starship, a part of the Chandrila Star Line fleet that guests will board on their journey aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser inclusive resort experience.
The starship as well as the Chandrila Star Line logo is on display for guests to see at D23.
They even thought to include a model of the Millennium Falcon for scale. This starcruiser is no hunk of junk, that’s for sure.
If you take a look at the concept art we released earlier today, you can see that the guest cabins are housed in the middle sector of the ship, with the bridge and terminals at one end.
There’ve been a number of names thrown out in the past few hours, so for clarification, the actual ship is called the Halcyon, and the hotel experience overall is called the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. (Think of it as, say, the Disney Fantasy of the Disney Cruise Line.)
More starships to scale. The specific ship type is the “Corellian MPO-1400 Star Cruiser.”
Additional concept art reveals a bustling lobby, where kids can help Chewbacca escape from Stormtroopers and Imperial Officers. In the back, windows peer off into the vast expanse of space.
Here we have the bridge area, which was also part of our big concept art reveal this morning. The bridge of the ship will feature tons of interactive stations guests can play with, but they’ll be used more seriously when an attack from the First Order is mounted. Guests may also have to fix things in the engineering room, but if they misbehave across the ship, they may be taken to a special bridge for warning.
You can check out a full video of the Halcyon model from the D23 Expo’s Disney Parks “Imagining Tomorrow, Today” pavilion below:

For anyone interested, the wording in the bottem right of picture 10 says, “Corellian Engineers Corporation”.
