It’s time for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! And one of my favorite parts of any Tokyo Disney Resort event is the array of snacks and food items available! In this series of reviews, I’ll be detailing every single new snack and counter-service item. We previously talked about the delicious Pumpkin Soft Serve, but we left out a strange combination: the Chocolate & Pumpkin Swirl Soft Serve at Troubadour Tavern! So, let’s take a look at this interesting combination, and see how it lives up!

Chocolate & Pumpkin Swirl Soft Serve – ¥300 ($2.78)

This isn’t necessarily a combination I’d immediately come up with when I think of autumn and pumpkin-flavored things. But, I’m always willing to give things a shot!

Overall, it tasted off. Chocolate and pumpkin is a combination that works better warm, but when you make it cold with ice cream, it doesn’t quite stack up as well. I enjoyed the plain pumpkin, or the combination with milk ice cream in the Critter Sundae more than this. The two flavors when cold seem to clash each other, rather than compliment for a pleasant experience. It just doesn’t stack up to the other combinations available.
