REVIEW: Critter Sundae for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disneyland’s Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon

It’s time for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! And one of my favorite parts of any Tokyo Disney Resort event is the array of snacks and food items available! In this series of reviews, I’ll be detailing every single new snack and counter-service item. The Critter Sundae is a perennial favorite at Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon, particularly the annually-returning Halloween edition! So, let’s see how this annual favorite stacks up to the other snacks available this year!

I’m a pretty big fan of the standard Critter Sundae, which features a strawberry/milk soft serve swirl, corn flakes, and a strawberry churro chunk. This, fortunately, is along the the same lines. This delicious Halloween edition features a pumpkin/milk soft-serve swirl (you can read our thoughts on the pumpkin soft-serve in its review), a chocolate ghost, pumpkin seeds, corn flakes, and chocolate crunch. Sounds delicious, right? Well, I’ll tell you exactly what I think.

I’ve already made clear my love of the pumpkin soft-serve in our previous review, and adding the milk flavor was another slam dunk! As for the churro, it was fresh out of the oven, which means it was warm, crisp, and an excellent contrast to the cold soft-serve! The pumpkin seeds and purple icing make for a delicious aesthetic touch, along with that spooky little chocolate ghost. And on the bottom, the combination of chocolate crunch and corn flakes makes for a superb finale to one of my favorite Halloween treats this year! I can see why this is an annually-returning favorite! You absolutely should give the Critter Sundae a try when you come to Tokyo Disneyland! It’s available through October 31st.
