It’s time for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! And one of my favorite parts of any Tokyo Disney Resort event is the array of snacks and food items available! In this series of reviews, I’ll be detailing every single new snack and counter-service item. New York Deli has long been a staple for Americans looking for a taste of home at Tokyo DisneySea, but normally their sandwiches are a bit out there. With Disney Halloween, however, the new sandwich is a bit more familiar, centered around ham, walnuts, and pumpkin with a sweet sauce. This was near the top of my top 5 Halloween food list, so let’s take a look!
Ham, Pumpkin, & Walnut Sandwich Set – ¥1230 ($11.40)
As I mentioned, New York Deli is a staple for me when I long for a taste of home. Ironically, my favorite sandwich is (usually) the Tuna & Egg Panini. However, that can (and should) absolutely move over for this deliciousness!
The lettuce looks a bit excessive, but otherwise this is an excellent portion! The sandwich has deli meat ham, lettuce, tomato (which I picked off), cheese, walnuts, pumpkin, and a sweet brown sauce. As for the taste? I love it! I mean, what’s not to love? Ham? Good. Walnuts? Good. Pumpkin? Good. The walnuts in particular add a nice nutty accent to the sandwich, and it all tastes sweet, but not excessively so. The set also includes French fries and a soft drink.
And let’s talk about this wrapper! A lot of the Halloween merchandise this season uses this design, but sadly this is the only restaurant to use this design! This one was by far one of my favorites, as I love the Festival of Mystique art! Overall, this sandwich is incredibly delicious, quite possibly my favorite counter service option for Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! This is a safe, delicious choice for picky foreign Guests, I think. The Ham, Pumpkin, and Walnut Sandwich is available at Tokyo DisneySea’s New York Deli through October 31st.
