REVIEW: Maple Pumpkin Churro – Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disneyland

It’s time for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! And one of my favorite parts of any Tokyo Disney Resort is the array of snacks and food items available! In this series of reviews, I’ll be detailing every single new snack and counter-service item. Now, I’m a huge fan of both maple and pumpkin. As a former Starbucks barista, the idea of anything pumpkin and/or pumpkin spice appeals to me on a subconscious level. So, the very first thing I had to try was the new Maple Pumpkin Churro!

Maple Pumpkin Churro – Â¥400 ($3.74)

The Maple Pumpkin Churro has largely displaced the Mickey Cinnamon Churro at most Tokyo Disney Resort outlets. It’s an extra Â¥50 ($0.47) on top of a normally priced churro. Available at Parkside Wagon and Pecos Bill Cafe here at Tokyo Disneyland, and at Open Sesame at Tokyo DisneySea, this seasonal snack definitely isn’t difficult to find!

There’s a lot of flavoring sprinkled on this churro, which looks promising! I can hardly wait to taste it!

The snack looks pretty much as advertised; a common sight here at Tokyo Disney Resort. The name is a bit misleading, however. I noticed a much greater amount of maple taste, almost as if this were a “Pancakes & Maple Syrup Churro”. The pumpkin flavor is there, but definitely is overpowered by the maple flavor. But I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s a bad thing, personally, as I love maple syrup on my pancakes. But do be careful of the orange sprinkles, as they can get messy very quickly.

I’m loving the wrapping paper that the churro came in. How cute is that?? Lots of the ghost characters promoted in merchandise! I’m even half-tempted to keep the wrapper.

Overall, I absolutely recommend this snack. Even though the name is a bit misleading, that doesn’t detract from the fact that this is an excellent autumn snack, and well worth your stop compared to some other snacks I’ve seen this season. The Maple Pumpkin Churro is available at Tokyo Disneyland’s Parkside Wagon and Pecos Bill Cafe, and Tokyo DisneySea’s Open Sesame through October 31st!
