Curious as to what it’s really like board a Disney Skyliner gondola and take a ride around Walt Disney World?
We may have gotten official sneak peeks and leaked images so far, but with Cast Member previews open to all today, we got to take a few rides across the every line, from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to the new (yet still unopened) Riviera Resort. You’ll notice some key points right off the bat, like obscured views in character-wrapped gondolas, pre-recorded in-gondola announcements, and differences amongst the various stations, like the International Gateway Station, Hollywood Studios Station, Hourglass Lake (Pop/AoA) Station, Caribbean Beach Station, and others.
Check out some amazing shots from inside the stunning new gondolas, as well as POV videos from station to station, below!

so by these videos, we’re looking at 14 or so minutes from AOA to Epcot (minus for transfer time at Carrib) and about 8 minutes from AOA to Hollywood, again minus for transfers. That’s not bad at all. Windy days will require them to operate slower, common at the ski resorts that have gondolas. The distance from Carrib to Epcot doesnt require a transfer at Riviera, correct?
Do we know if Riviera station is opening this week? I’m trying to choose a room location at Caribbean Beach and would like to know my options.
It won’t be
It will be open in order to best accommodate guests staying in the Aruba section of Caribbean Beach
