Starting September 15, Walt Disney World Cast Members will receive complimentary entry to NBA Experience. Since opening on August 12, every visitor to NBA Experience has had to pay an entry fee, something Disney Quest did not require around the time it closed.
Free entry for Cast Members is slated to end on December 31, but there’s a chance this is just for scheduling reasons and could be extended indefinitely later in the year. Block-out dates may apply, but Cast Members are allowed to enter once per day for every day of the offer.

this experience is doomed for failure. This will be free to all beginning Jan 1 and it still will not draw people. They should be thinking of what it can be next right now.
