Hello to all you Studios Stars!

The Disney Skyliner is still facing repercussions from the accident that took place on October 5th. A sign displaying the hours of operation sits out front of all the stations and gets updated daily. It’s unclear if they’ll go back to 6am operation at any point.

Next, we headed into the newly refurbished Mickey’s of Hollywood which has set up a merchandise display all the new merchandise for Frozen 2 which comes to theaters on November 22nd, 2019.

Located at Once Upon a Time on Sunset Boulevard is an Incredibles Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num shirt. This cute shirt is great for the entire family coming in Adult and Children sizes.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith had a little bit of technical difficulties with the standby sign, as the sign was not illuminated and in place had a foldable stand that had the wait time which was not easy to see unless standing right in front of the queue.

Checking in on the expanded bathrooms right across from the exit of Star Tours and right next to Red Carpet Dreams starring Mickey and Minnie, a lot of progress has been made on the front of the building. Barring any complications, it should be open soon.

We are approaching the holiday season very quickly, and in preparation, a large screen has been put up right outside of Sunset Ranch market for the Sunset Seasons Greetings show.

A lot has been going on at Hollywood Studios since the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and we are excited for this park to continue moving forward. Until next time!

  1. That Skyliner Operation Hours sign…. WOW, awful.

I used to work in the Internal Communications Dept at Magic Kingdom, about 10 years ago. That would NEVER have been OK for MK. Times made in what looks to be Word, printed and scotch taped to a sign, and not even centered when placed in the column???? WOW. I remember having to sit and remake ALL the numbers that the department used because we were running low, and they needed to match. (I ended up creating a template and leaving it for future use, hopefully that helped the next person.) We had magnets and laminated numbers for ALL times boards, themed properly and alway looking perfect. I spent hours on those things.

We used those A-frames too. There is a TEMPLATE for the size. Imagineering should have sent that graphic to Hollywood Studios. They should be able to open it, add operating hours to it, print on their large format printer, laminate it and then get it placed into the A-Frame on stage. Start to finish, if you turned on the laminator and printer first to get them warmed up, 30-45 minutes depending on how far you had to walk from the office!

I’m blown away at how terrible and unprofessional that looks. Had my old Manager seen that from me, I’d have been in REAL trouble. What happened to the PRIDE in your work at Disney (even if it is just a temp sign)???

    • That sign looks like defeat.
Like the Skyliner has given up on life, hasn’t showered in 10 days and is eating Doritos for breakfast.
