PHOTOS: Additional Exterior Track Supports Added as TRON Construction Progresses at the Magic Kingdom

It’s difficult to look around Tomorrowland or Storybook Circus and not notice TRON construction in your sight lines. The massive coaster, officially called TRON Lightcycle Run, is set to open at the Magic Kingdom in 2021. As construction progresses, the attraction is starting to reflect key elements of the concept art.

TRON construction is especially easy to observe from the exit of Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. (Space Mountain’s gift shop), the Tomorrowland Speedway, and from The Barnstormer queue.

Work continues to progress on the show building. The coaster is partially enclosed, featuring both indoor and outdoor sections of the ride.

Even more exterior beams have been added since our last construction update. These beams will support the outside portion of the track. The placement of the beams make it more apparent where the track will connect through the show building.

We’ll be keeping an eye on TRON’s construction. Major changes and additions seem to be happening quickly! Keep checking WDWNT to stay up-to-date on all things TRON Lightcycle Power Run!
